Consider again the small example context. Figure 17 builds on Figure 11. It focuses on the seed (1, 7) and adds a third element. For this seed, there are 12 bottom elements that do not share parents in common with either seed element and thus might be the third element that can successfully complete the project: 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18. Note that most of these lie to the right-hand side of the context, relatively distant from the seed elements. Now suppose following Figure 9 that, as an example, the third element that can successfully complete this seed to forge a successful full project is element 16. The shortest path from element 16 to each of the project elements 1 and 7 and guiding conception elements A and C is computed, and the minimum of these four values is defined to be the distance to this third element.
